These past few days have certainly been ones where The Inbounder 2020 has had to make difficult decisions. We had planned to hold our beloved event that saw great success in its first two installments, along with the parallel World Tour formats, in 2020. We had already picked out dates for the second half of September, many speakers already on deck to participate, and we were ready to finally deploy the landing page announcing the third edition of The Inbounder Global Conference.
But we had a change in thought.
Was the Covid-19 coronavirus to blame? While it did play a role, it was not our primary rationale. The Inbounder team is an optimistic one, and we want to believe that in six months we’ll see a significant containment of the coronavirus that will let us all go back to relative normalcy. We inevitably doubted it due to this timeline.
When’s the third edition of The Inbounder?
However, many tech events and digital marketing conferences in Spain, Europe, and the rest of the world are either canceled or postponed to later this year. These delays mean that not only would there be The Inbounder 2020 at the same time but other already-scheduled events such as our friends at BrightonSEO in the United Kingdom, on top of the ones that were not held.
Putting on an event like The Inbounder is a complicated endeavor. Imagine doing it when your target audience has dozens of options to choose from, and the speakers have to virtually flight-hop!
At We Are Marketing, we also believe that standing with the events and organizers currently facing this global crisis is the right thing to do. It would not be right to make it more difficult for them by competing for the same potential attendees.
The Inbounder 2021: See you in spring 2021!
For not believing it is not right for our audience, and not being able to guarantee the quality of digital marketing conference we wish to offer as organizers, we’ve decided to postpone the third edition of The Inbounder to the spring of 2021, very likely in April 2021.
We know that this means it’s another year of anticipating what past speakers will be coming back to Spain to give us ideas, guides, and tips about how to carry out authentic marketing while staying a step ahead of the competition. This extra time will let us relaunch The Inbounder and make it even better.
But don’t worry, this won’t be the last you’ll hear from us! We have a content production plan in the works full of blog posts, guides, webinars, and live stream mini-talks to tide you over for the next 12 months. You can take a look at them on our blog!
